Concert 3:
This program centres Der Abend by Richard Strauss, combining it with multi-voice arrangements by Clytus Gottwald of further Romantic German Lieder, and two contemporary works. The pieces connect thematically and poetically, linking sleep, dreams, the night sky, angels, and the silence of the city.
